Internships
Plymouth Growth invites underrepresented college students to inquire and apply for summer internships. These internships provide an opportunity to gain hands-on investment experience. Interns will work closely with both partners and the operations team during their time to drive value across the portfolio and fund.

Caroline Wolanin
Investment Analyst
Caroline is joining Plymouth Growth as a recent graduate who studied finance. Prior to graduation, she played an active role in several student organizations across campus, including chairing Wayne Women In Business. She held back-to-back internships at a Fortune 500 company focusing on automotive finance. Caroline also received a scholarship to participate in the VC University program, recently completing and receiving a certification from the program by Berkeley Law and Venture Forward.
Caroline has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Wayne State University.

Kathleen Kaulins
Principal
Kathleen joined Plymouth Growth in 2023 as a Principal and is involved in all aspects of the firm’s investing activities. Previously, Kathleen served as Investment Director at Vistara Growth. As a senior member of the fund’s investment team, she focused on providing tailored capital solutions to growth stage software and technology companies.
Prior to working as an investor, Kathleen spent 10 years as an operator at two New York City based technology startups where she led a number of different functions including Finance, Strategy, Operations, and Product. Kathleen began her career as an investment banker at UBS.
Kathleen is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University. She earned her MBA from Columbia University as well as both her Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan.

Evan Ufer
Partner
Evan is a Partner at Plymouth Growth, where he focuses on sourcing and executing lead investments in technology-based businesses. Since joining in 2014, he has led six of Plymouth’s investments and has been involved in many other successful financings. Prior to Plymouth, Evan served as Vice President at Quilvest Private Equity in New York. He focused on evaluating and executing direct private equity investments – buyouts, recapitalizations and growth equity – in such industries as software, telecommunications and manufacturing.
Previously, Evan worked in real estate private equity for The Carlyle Group’s senior housing division, Carlyle Senior Housing. Evan began his career as an architect at SmithGroup, one of the oldest and largest architecture and engineering firms in the U.S.
Evan earned his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, graduating with High Honors, and his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The University of Virginia, also with High Honors.

Jeff Barry
Partner
Prior to joining Plymouth, Jeff was a Senior Economist at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in Washington, DC where he was responsible for evaluating potential investment opportunities in small- and medium-sized businesses, as well as Fortune 500 companies. Prior to his work with OPIC, Jeff was a management and strategy consultant for ten years with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Stone & Webster Management Consultants, specializing in sell-side privatization transactions in Latin America and Africa.
Jeff holds an MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of the Arts from Trinity College in Economics and Spanish, with other graduate studies at New York University and Georgetown University.

Brook Critchfield
Partner
Prior to Plymouth, Brook spent more than 10 years as a core member of BAML Capital Access Funds Management in Chicago, a specialty asset management firm focused on lower middle market private equity. Brook was heavily involved in all of the group’s activities, including sourcing and reviewing investment opportunities, designing and implementing investment structures, and interacting with current and prospective clients. In 2016, the firm was acquired by HarbourVest Partners, a Boston-based global private markets investments manager with more than $40 billion under management.
Previously, Brook was an Analyst with JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he performed valuation and transactional investment banking services for closely-held companies. Brook has also participated in the creation of a regionally focused, seed-stage venture fund and served as an analyst with a homeland security solutions startup.
Brook earned his BA in Economics & Management from Albion College.

Kevin Terrasi
Partner
An engineer by trade, Kevin has over 20 years of experience in management positions throughout technical, operational, and business development areas. He utilizes this deep experience to bring value-add to Plymouth’s portfolio companies and is a great example of how Plymouth partners with its management teams as they grow their respective businesses.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University.

Alison Todak
Director of Platform
Alison joined Plymouth Growth in 2021 as the new Director of Platform. In this role, she focuses on sourcing new investments, providing support for Plymouth’s portfolio companies, and leading efforts across marketing, communications and overall community building. Prior to Plymouth, Alison was the Managing Director at Cahoots, where she focused on building bridges between entrepreneurs and the greater technology community. She also co-founded and serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Shine & Rise, a support network for women in tech.
Previously, Alison worked with seed-stage companies through the University of Michigan’s Desai Accelerator, where she helped build the program and invest in early-stage technology startups. She also worked in public policy for former U.S. Senator Carl Levin.
Alison has a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy & Economics from Western Michigan University.

Ian Bund
Senior Advisor
Ian formed the first institutional VC in Michigan and has led or co-led 14 funds. He has been involved in building over 350 companies, executing over 40 IPOs, and serving on the Board of more than 20 businesses. Successful exits include numerous strategic sales, such as Ventana Medical Systems, Lifescan, Birtcher, Stratacom, and Neogen.
Ian received an MBA from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney. He is an Australian Chartered Accountant.

Mark Horne
Operating Partner
Mark sourced, closed and exited several successful deals in Funds I & II, including Guidepoint Systems, American Broadband & Telephone, Pump Engineering and Lynx Network Group.
Having begun his career with Price Waterhouse in Toronto, Mark worked for 20 years as the Chief Financial Officer of several privately-held growth stage businesses, ranging in size from $10 to $150 million. He is a former NJ licensed CPA.
Mark holds an M.B.A. from Widener University and a B.B.A in Business Administration from Cedarville University.

James Schneider
Director of Accounting and Finance
Previously, James worked at SVB Capital in Menlo Park as a Finance Manager on both their fund of fund and direct equity products. James began his career in Washington D.C. at The Carlyle Group, where he was a member of the Partnership Accounting team for their flagship US Buyout funds.
James has earned a Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Michelle Erikson
Senior Associate
Michelle brings more than ten years of operating experience to Plymouth’s team. Prior to business school, she managed marketing and advertising for Michigan Athletics as the Director of Marketing Integration. Prior to moving to Ann Arbor in 2019, Michelle spent eight years in Washington, DC where she led growth marketing and business development for a venture-backed sports accelerator. As VP of Client Relations at DC’s largest public affairs firm, she also managed Fortune 500 client relationships with proprietary B2B software products and marketing automation platforms.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maryland.
